SOLAR SERVICES
From design to installation, we meet your solar needs while ensuring your are knowledgeable about your investment.

We use trained and CSA qualified electricians to not only design the solar system but also mount and connect the solar array.
Using qualified trained electricians we ensures quality work that is safe and meets all electrical codes and standards. With no outside contracting, we not only keep costs down but also ensure the solar array is producing power as quickly as possible.
Incentive Programs
1. The SaskPower Net Metering Program allows SaskPower customers to connect their solar array to the SaskPower Electrical grid, using the grid as "storage system". Any excess power that is produced by the solar array is fed back to the grid creating a credit worth 7.5 cents per kWh.
​
2. The Federal Tax Provision for Clean Energy Equipment is a tax policy offered through the federal government that allows Canadian businesses to fully expense their clean energy equipment purchases (solar included). This means a CCA rate of 100% and the abolishment of the first year rule.

Rolling Solar Battery Tender
The Rolling Solar Battery Tender is an integrated all-on-board locomotive battery solar charger. This solar solution automatically engages to charge and maintain batteries above 64 volts DC.
​
How It Works
The system is designed with simplicity in mind. During hours of sunlight, the Rolling Solar Battery Tender activates to charge the batteries or maintain the battery charge. At the end of the workday the equipment is shut down as per normal procedure and the operator walks away. No extra steps. It is really that easy!
​
Benefits of this system include:
• Charged batteries every time you go to start the locomotive
• Fewer costly jump starts due to cold, frozen, or dead batteries
• Extended battery life due to better charge and depletion cycles
• Lower line drawn on the auxiliary generator, preserving the life of this high cost

• Optional wireless battery charge monitoring is in development
